How our practice matches it

Adaptation

Not adaptive, like the real exam: everyone who sits a given test answers the same questions.

Interface and tools

  • Every part timed in the exam's order, with the 10-minute break after Section I
  • Mark for Review, the option eliminator and a Check Your Work page
  • Highlights and notes on passages and free-response prompts
  • Desmos calculator in the parts where the exam allows one
  • College Board's reference sheet for the subject, open where the exam opens it
  • Free-response answers typed, or handwritten and photographed with your phone through a QR code

Scoring and differences

Multiple-choice answers are marked at hand-in. Each free-response answer gets an automated estimate against the question's scoring guidelines, row by row. The report weights them as the exam does and converts the composite to an estimated AP score from 1 to 5 with our estimated cut-offs, because College Board publishes none. It is not a College Board score.

  • On the real exam free-response answers are handwritten in a paper booklet; here you type them or upload photos of your handwritten pages.
  • The 1–5 score is an estimate: College Board does not publish the composite needed for each score.

Questions

How many times can I take each AP Physics 1 practice test?

Each test can be sat up to 2 times. If you close the tab in the middle of a sitting, your answers are saved and the same sitting resumes when you return.

How do I answer the free-response questions?

Type them in the answer boxes, or write them on paper and upload photos of your pages from your phone by scanning the QR code on screen. Photos are stored privately with your sitting.

Is the score official?

No.

Can I try the bank before buying?

Yes. With a free account you can practise a fixed sample of 20 questions, the same set for everyone, and read their answers and explanations. A plan opens the whole AP Physics 1 bank for its access period.

How long does question-bank access last?

Question-bank access lasts 120 days (240 days for an AP subject's bank) from the day it opens. SAT, GRE, GMAT, PTE and the AP banks open after payment. ACT, IELTS, TOEFL and TR-YOS plans open when every section they cover has questions, straight away if they do now. It is a fixed window, not a subscription: it does not renew and you are never charged again automatically.
