Adaptation
Reading and Listening are two-stage, as on the real test: your first module routes you to an easier or a harder second module. Writing and Speaking are the same for everyone.

Scoring and differences
Reading and Listening are marked against the answer key; Writing and Speaking responses receive an automated estimate. The report gives each section and the overall score on the 1–6 scale, with a comparable 0–120 total. It is a practice estimate, not an ETS score.
- There is no on-screen notepad, as on the real test: take notes on paper where notes are allowed.

Questions
How many times can I take each TOEFL practice test?
Each test can be sat up to 2 times. Take it in one go: closing the tab or reloading the page during the test can lose the answers of the section you are in.
What is the 1–6 scale?
Since 21 January 2026 ETS reports each TOEFL iBT section and the overall score on a 1–6 scale in half-point steps. Until January 2028 score reports also show a comparable 0–120 total, and our report shows both.
Do I need a microphone?
Yes, for the speaking tasks. Use a current version of Chrome, Edge or Safari, allow microphone access when asked, and use headphones so the prompt audio is not picked up by the microphone.
Which plan includes Writing and Speaking?
The Writing + Speaking plan, and Full access, which also covers Reading and Listening.
Can I try the bank before buying?
